market
our
products
to the
public.
It is a
branch
of Buddy
Ward &
Sons
Seafood,
which
was
established
in 1957
by the
Ward
family.
The
business
has been
family
owned
and
operated
ever
since,
where we
have
created
a
reputation
of
quality,
fresh
seafood!
For over
half a
century,
four
generations
of the
Ward
family
have
harvested
oysters,
...shrimp,
and fish
from
Apalachicola
Bay and
the Gulf
of
Mexico.
For
years
locals
knew
another
secret:
come out
to the
little
oyster
house 13
miles
west of
Apalachicola
where
you can
observe
local
oystermen
bring in
genuine
Apalachicola
oysters.
If you take a look at the docks behind the water-front building where 13

Market

located,
you may
catch a
glimpse
of 1 of
our 5
shrimp
boats.
These
boats
take on
the
Apalachicola
Bay and
the Gulf
of
Mexico
in
search
for
local
shrimp,
where
they are
then
unloaded
at the
Buddy
Ward and
Son's
Seafood
Shrimp
House.
This
helps to
ensure
that
fresh
shrimp
is taken
directly
from our
boats
straight
to your
table!
